Marvel Head Confirms Production of Spider-Man 4

The fourth Spider-Man movie is now under production, according to Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel. It’s not surprising that the Marvel Cinematic Universe wants to weave another web of thrills and spills after the success of No Way Home. It’s uncertain in which MCU Phase our neighborhood Spider-Man will make an appearance.

Some Big News

Feige was not allowed to divulge too much information about the project, although he did do so in passing. During a lengthy interview with Entertainment Weekly, he claimed, “All I will say is that we have the story. We have big ideas for that, and our writers are just putting pen to paper now.” It’s an interesting turn of events considering Tom Holland, who played Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the last three standalone films as well as in the larger MCU, said No Way Home was going to be the end of the trilogy.

The Spider-Man characters played by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are also present in the movie. So, to put it mildly, a fourth movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe would have a lot to unpack. Maguire hasn’t ruled out making a second attempt at being the fabled webslinger. The nostalgia and hope that comes along with these actors for Spider-Man does give out a lot when it comes to fans and viewers.

Longtime Spider-Man producer Amy Pascal did hint at a potential trilogy before No Way Home hit theaters. At the premiere in December 2021, she walked back her statement and said it was simply just a wish. Spider-Man 4 may be in production, as was previously claimed, but no official release date has been set. Like with everything Marvel or Marvel-related, rumors are rampant. But we’ll stay away from the unproven murmurs until there’s something confirmed.
