According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the singer has broken three world records as a result of her 1985 song “Running Up That Hill” being used in the most recent season of the television show “Stranger Things.”

Getting It Done

Bush now holds the records for the longest time for a tune to reach No. 1 on the UK’s official singles chart, the oldest female artist to achieve No. 1 on the chart, and the longest gap between No. 1 rankings.

Quite the Accomplishment

36 years after the single’s first No. 3 peak, it now holds the Guinness World Record for the longest period of time it took for a song to top the UK Official Singles Chart.

Cher, the previous record holder who was 52 years old when her song “Believe” topped the charts in 1998, congratulated Bush on Twitter.
