“Jurassic World Dominion” Officially Becomes the Franchise’s Worst Rated Movie

With the exception of 1993’s Jurassic Park, the Jurassic Park franchise has never produced one truly memorable film. We’ve all come to see two hours of dinosaur mayhem, but cinema critics aren’t enthused this time. Jurassic World Dominion is the Jurassic franchise’s lowest-rated film.

All About the Ratings

Jurassic World Dominion has a 30% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 289 critic reviews. In comparison, Fallen Kingdom received a 47 percent rating, whereas Jurassic World received a 71 percent rating.

On the Bright Side

Fans, on the other hand, are loving it! Jurassic World Dominion has a strong 79 percent audience rating, and the picture had the second-best opening day of any Jurassic film, grossing $59.55 million, second only to 2015’s Jurassic World.

While this could be quite the blow to the franchise, it’s not set in stone that they won’t be up to make another film. The Jurassic franchise could always use this as fuel and come up with something much greater and hopefully overshadow what has been the lowest rated film in their production.
