On Wednesday morning, Johnny Depp’s lawyers went on numerous channels to attack Amber Heard’s assertions that the trial was unjust. With that, his legal team suggested that the damages claim may be dropped.

Depp’s lawyers also attacked Heard’s argument that she lost the trial because Johnny is more powerful and popular than she is, alleging that the jurors simply didn’t like her because she, unlike Johnny, “didn’t take accountability for anything.”

His legal team then proposed that he might even waive Amber’s $8 million judgment. Her lawyers claimed she couldn’t afford it and announced intentions to appeal yesterday.
“This was never about money for Mr. Depp,” Depp’s counsel replied when asked if they would waive the judgment. “It was all about repairing his reputation, which he has done. We have to be careful what we say, but this was about Mr. Depp’s reputation, and that was the only thing that mattered to him.”
