James Hong Now the Oldest Person to Get Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

James Hong at age 93, has become the oldest individual to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, with more than 650 film and television credits to his name.

Daniel Dae Kim and Jamie Lee Curtis, who spoke during a ceremony honoring Hong in front of Madame Tussauds Hollywood on Hollywood Boulevard, joined the actor on the red carpet.

Still Unique Around The Stars

He stated he was happy to take in the occasion and see so many familiar friends present to honor him in an unplanned speech because he’s “not that kind of person.”

Hong rose to fame on television with roles in Seinfeld, Perry Mason, and All in the Family, among other shows, and began her career doing impersonations in 1954. That initial performance was so successful that he began receiving fan letters, obtained an agent as a result, and never looked back.
