In the upcoming Gran Turismo film from filmmaker Neill Blomkamp, David Harbour has been cast. A former race car driver will be portrayed by Harbor. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the role will serve as a mentor to the adolescent leading the film. The movie depicts the tale of a Gran Turismo player who wants to switch from being a video game driver to becoming a professional racer.

Zach Baylin and Jason Hall wrote Gran Turismo. This has a release date of August 11, 2023. The Blomkamp movie comes after Sony’s well-received Uncharted remake, which has made $400 million in the US alone.

What Else to Expect

Future PlayStation Productions initiatives include the Twisted Metal television series on Peacock, the The Last of US television series on HBO, the God of War television series on Amazon, the Horizon television series on Netflix, and the Chad Stahleski-directed Ghost of Tsushima movie.

Gran Turismo 7, the franchise’s last game, was released earlier this year. And with that, fans are exited to see what comes out with the movie, hopefully they would release a trailer or even just a teaser soon.
