Black Adam Gives Dwayne Johnson His Biggest Box Office Weekend

Following the debut of the DC superhero film Black Adam in theaters, Dwayne Johnson just had his best-ever weekend at the box office. Black Adam is a first film based on the DC comics anti-hero, starring Dwayne Johnson and Pierce Brosnan.

Huge Numbers

While critics have given the film a mixed bag of reviews, Johnson’s fans appear to be much satisfied with the product as they have been packed theaters to see his most recent film. According to Rotten Tomatoes, Black Adam outperformed his previous endeavors with an opening weekend box office haul of $67 million.

The Best Among the Rest

Dwayne Johnson has had some previous significant successes as an actor, even if this weekend’s box office was the highest of his acting career. Hobbs & Shaw, a Fast and Furious spinoff that made $60 million, came in second to Black Adam with a total of $67 million, and Jumanji: The Next Level came in third with $59.2 million.
