Billie Eilish at Glastonbury Festival Makes History

The Glastonbury festival’s youngest-ever solo headliner is Billie Eilish. The 20-year-old is also the festival’s first female headlining act since Adele performed there in 2016.

Through It All

Eilish was originally scheduled to play the John Peel tent in 2019, the year she made her Glastonbury debut. She was, however, promoted to the Other Stage as a result of the popularity of her single “Bad Guy.” Due to the numerous technical difficulties she encountered during her performance, Eilish thanked her audience for “not leaving” after the set.

Doing It All

The first full day of music at Glastonbury began with Eilish’s headlining set on June 24. The musician is also in the middle of a run of performances at London’s O2 Arena. The arena is hosting her for a total of six sold-out performances.

Her second album, Happier Than Ever, is the focus of the performances. Eilish never imagined she’d be at this point, despite just becoming the youngest solo headliner in Glastonbury history.
