After The Elder Scrolls VI, Bethesda Game Studio’s boss Todd Howard has announced that Fallout 5 will be the studio’s next major role-playing game. This suggests that we’ll see it by 2048. (or not). After the release of Starfield, Howard had stated that Bethesda will properly concentrate on The Elder Scrolls VI, which is presently in “pre-production.”

More Waiting

A delay caused the ambitious sci-fi RPG to slip from its intended November 2022 release date to the first half of 2023. It’s clear that The Elder Scrolls VI has no release date as of yet, which makes predicting the release date of Fallout 5 even more difficult. Howard’s remarks serve as a reminder that Bethesda is still working on the well-liked post-apocalyptic series.

Just Preparing

Previously, Howard informed IGN that Bethesda had a concept for Fallout 5. “Fallout’s really part of our DNA here,” he explained. “We’ve worked with other (developers) from time to time – I can’t say say what’s gonna happen. You know, we have a one-pager on Fallout 5, what we want to do.”

Fans of Bethesda’s RPGs can currently anticipate Starfield. Since the future game boasts that there are 1,000 free planets to explore, it should keep us occupied while we wait for Fallout 5 in any case.
