After Trial Verdict, Amber Heard Expresses Thoughts for the First Time

Amber Heard has spoken out for the first time about the Johnny Depp trial result, saying she “doesn’t blame” the jury but that the nasty social media attention she experienced was “unfair.” The Aquaman star was ordered by a US judge to pay $15 million in damages following the highly-publicized defamation lawsuit.

What’s on Her Mind

Judge Penny Azcarate later capped the charges at $10.35 million, and Heard was granted $2 million in damages in a counterclaim in a separate verdict. Despite making statements about the trial on social media, the 36-year-old actress was due to talk in depth about the verdict in an interview with Today’s Savannah Guthrie.

Quite the Presence

When the trial was still ongoing last month, Ron Schnell, a social media specialist and Heard’s witness, said he noticed over a million critical tweets about the Aquaman star. He also stated that the #JusticeForJohnnyDepp hashtag was the most popular trending subject during the trial proceedings.
